Arvada West edged Columbine by two strokes in a very close team race. It was the fifth Jeffco League tournament of the season. The conference’s final tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 14, at West Woods Golf Course in Arvada.

On the 4A side, Evergreen continued its solid play winning another team title. The Cougars top four golfers — freshmen Liam Houlihan, Ian O’Fallon, along with seniors Chase Thompson and AJ Gunn — all shot in the low 70s to defeat 2nd place Conifer by eight strokes.

Conifer senior Cade Rummell and Littleton junior Noah Abramson finished tied for the individual medalist title with both shooting 3-over-par, 68. Standley Lake senior Jack Tarman finished 3rd with a round of 69.

Evergreen can wrap-up the 4A Jeffco League title next week at West Woods, where the individual medalist will also be crowned.
