4A Boys Golf: Riverdale Ridge leads both team and individual scoreboards - Colorado High School Activities Association

DENVER – Following 18 holes of action on day one of the 2021 4A state boys golf tournament, played at City Park Golf Course in Denver, Riverdale Ridge is all over the leaderboard as they have both the team, and individual lead.

Sophomore Bradley Weinmaster leads the 84-player field as he carded the only under-par round on day one, firing a one-under 69. Silver Creek junior Ben Harding and Vista PEAK senior Dawson Thulin are right on Weinmaster’s heels with even-par 70s apiece, while Windsor senior Brentyn Paiz is one-over with a 71.

On the team side, the Ravens have a combined team score of 216, six strokes ahead of defending champions Cheyenne Mountain. Riverdale Ridge’s three team scorers are all sophomores, as Weinmaster is joined by Will Balliet, who scored a two-over 72, and Aiden Sweeney, who had a five-over 75.

Riverdale Ridge and Cheyenne Mountain hold the dominate team leads, as third place is Silver Creek with a 228, followed by Falcon who has a 229, and Windsor in fifth with a 231.

Should Riverdale Ridge hold on to both the individual and team leads, it would mark the first team and individual titles in program history.

Day two of the 2021 4A state boys golf tournament will resume tomorrow at 9 a.m.
