Keepers Owen Kalisher and Shane Williams turned the annual Boulder-Fairview boys soccer game into their own personal matchup Saturday night.
The lowest-scoring match between the crosstown rivals since 2013 was decided by multiple high-level saves and just one flicker of offense at Christian Recht Field.
Front and center, Boulder’s Kalisher, the player, outlasted his counterpart.
The winning setup came in 60th minute as Jose Ordaz touched Victor Torres’ throw-in out of the air and in the direction of Ben Schkutek for the game-winning finish. It was all that was needed for the coach’s son, giving the Panthers their second straight victory over the Knights, 1-0.
