Colorado’s last major in-state invitational of the season ran last weekend. But, there’s still a major out-of-state invitational to be run.
Where are Air Academy, Basalt, Berthoud, Broomfield, Chaparral, Cherokee Trail, Lewis-Palmer, Highlands Ranch, Golden, Fort Collins, Erie, Eagle Valley, Conifer, Lutheran, Niwot, Palmer, Pueblo West, Valor Christian, and Summit (or at least parts of those teams) all headed this weekend? To Arizona, for Desert Twilight.
I apologize if I missed a team or two laying down the cash to make the trip. But, you get the idea–it’s a big draw for Colorado schools and has been for several years now. It’s at Coyote Run Golf Course in Mesa this year, the same place Nike Cross Southwest will be held on November 19. Presumably, this is an improvement over last year’s NXRSW course, though I know nothing about the specifics of the course.
