AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association is pleased to announce the hiring of Audra Peterson Cathy as a Coordinator of Sport.
Peterson Cathy, who will serve as Assistant Commissioner Jenn Roberts-Uhlig’s assistant, brings more than 10 years of experience working with CHSAA back to the organization. She will assist Roberts-Uhlig with cross country, gymnastics, spirit, track and field and unified bowling, in addition to serving as a liaison for sports medicine and corporate partnerships.
“We are excited to welcome Audra back to the CHSAA family,” Roberts-Uhlig said. “She brings great knowledge, passion and dedication to the CHSAA membership. She has always been a servant leader and we look forward to her serving the membership and its communities again.”
Peterson Cathy first came to CHSAA in 2008 as an executive administrative assistant. From 2008-19, she helped oversee and regulate participation in high school athletics and activities for member schools. She also constructed and facilitated state championships for multiple different sports by organizing teams, ticketing, vendors, officials, security and all on-site logistics.
For speech and debate, she coordinated and planned all details of the annual conference, including travel arrangements, hospitality room coordination, organization of guest speakers and amenities, and multi-day check-in procedures. Also a media liaison for CHSAA, she created and implemented media policies and kept press informed of all essential happenings during state events.
Peterson Cathy also maintained and operated a budget for various sports and served as a member on the committee served with exploring new technologies to advance CHSAA’s operations.
In addition to her time at CHSAA, she has served as a high school track and field and girls gymnastics coach and most recently spent time working as a sales associate.
