The 2023 state softball tournament brackets are due to be seeded and released on Monday by the CHSAA office.
The state tournament will begin with the Round of 32 games next week.
Teams will be seeded using the CHSAA Seeding Index. The official rankings are updated hourly with the latest RPI data, and each Monday and Thursday with MaxPreps data. (Find answers to FAQs about the Seeding Index here.)

Final seeding data will be available on Oct. 9. That means that this weekend’s games will bring the regular season to a close. A schedule of games, as well as scores, is available on the Scoreboard.
The Round of 32 games of the state tournaments will be Oct. 13 and 14 at host sites. Each classification will have eight sites, with four teams playing at each site. Class 3A has a single-elimination setup, while classes 4A and 5A both play modified double-elimination formats.
The top two teams at each site will then qualify for the Round of 16 and beyond, which is held at Aurora Sports Park on Oct. 20-21. Teams will be reseeded prior to the Round of 16 on Oct. 16.
