AURORA – Week 1 of the Colorado High School Activities Association’s 1A Football Playoffs for the 2023 State Championships are underway. Live scores can be found on MaxPreps and select games will be streamed on the NFHS Network.

Saturday Schedule
After Holyoke and Buena Vista advanced on Friday night, their opponents were finalized on Saturday, as No. 7 seed Wray defeated No. 10 seed Centauri, 59-27, and No. 4 Meeker defeated No. 13 Highland, 20-7. Holyoke will play Wray in the quarterfinals, while Meeker will play host to Buena Vista next round.
No. 1 seed Limon took care of business against No. 16 seed Cedaredge, 42-7 to reach the quarterfinals, where they’ll match up with No. 8 seed Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy. Banning Lewis advanced to the quarterfinals after nearly shutting out No. 9 seed Wiggins 21-2.
The final quarterfinal matchup will be between No. 3 seed Gunnison and No. 6 seed Strasburg. Gunnison advanced by defeating No. 14 seed Yuma 28-14, while Strasburg advanced by defeating No. 11 seed North Fork 21-0.
Friday Schedule
CHSAA’s 1A Football Playoff action started in Buena Vista, where the No. 5 seed Demons survived a late comeback attempt from the No. 12 seed Colorado Springs Christian Lions to win 27-21 and earn their spot in the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, they will play the winner of Saturday’s matchup between Meeker and Highland.
Later in the night, the No. 2 seed Holyoke Dragons shut out the No. 15 seed Platte Canyon Huskies 42-0 to advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face the winner of Saturday afternoon’s game between Centauri and Wray.
