Saturday Results
To start the second round of CHSAA’s 2A Football Playoffs, No. 1 Delta defeated No. 9 The Classical Academy in an incredibly close game, 16-14, as they scored a safety in the final minute of action to pull in front. In the next round, they will play No. 12 Moffat County, who defeated No. 4 Berthoud thanks to a failed point-after-try on Berthoud’s second touchdown.
On the other half of the bracket, No. 3 Rifle pulled away with a 14-0 third quarter to defeat No. 6 University, 35-28, and punch their ticket to the semifinals. In the semifinals, they will play No. 10 Eaton. Eaton advanced thanks to a tight 17-14 win over No. 15 Pagosa Springs.
