Spring 2024 Postseason Information

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association will crown 32 teams as state champions across 11 sports and one activity this spring.
 
The first team champions will be crowned on Thursday, May 2 in esports with the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and MarioKart state titles being determined. Spring championships will conclude on Saturday, June 1 with the final four baseball state champions being awarded.
 
Postseason information can be found below with championship-specific information included for each sport. 
 


 

Baseball

1A Baseball Tournament

District Championships
All 35 teams qualify for districts. The top-two finishers in each district will automatically advance to regionals. 

Regional Championships
A 16-team single-elimination regional/state bracket with the top four seeds hosting regional championships (first and quarterfinal round games). The four regional champions advance to the Final 4. 

State Championships (1A Baseball Championship Information)

2A, 3A, 4A and 5A Baseball Tournaments

Regional Championships
A 32-team single-elimination bracket with the top-eight teams hosting regional championships. The eight regional champions advance to the state bracket. 

  • Wednesday through Saturday, May 15-18
  • At home sites of top-eight seeds
    • Host schools will determine policies and procedures for entry

State Championships (Baseball Championship Information)
An eight-team double-elimination bracket split over two weekends. The four teams remaining after the first weekend will advance to the second weekend. 

  • First Weekend (Games 1-11) on Friday and Saturday, May 24-25 (16 games split across two sites per classification)
    • 2A: Runyon Field Sports Complex (Hobbs Field and Andenucio Field) in Pueblo
    • 3A: Butch Butler Field and University High School in Greeley
    • 4A: Air Force Academy and UCCS in Colorado Springs
    • 5A: All Star Park and All City Stadium in Denver
  • Final 4 (Games 12-15) on Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June 1 (three games – or four, if needed for the championship – will be played at each site)
    • 2A: Runyon Field Sports Complex for Games 12-13 and Rawlins Field at CSU Pueblo for Games 14-15
    • 3A: Butch Butler Field in Greeley
    • 4A: Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs
    • 5A: All Star Park in Denver

 

Esports

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Esports Championship Information)
The final 16 teams from the 64-team bracket will advance to the in-person final.

Girls Golf

3A, 4A and 5A Golf Tournaments

Regional Championships
Every team qualifies for one of the four regionals in each classification. Regions are predetermined. The top-two teams and top-13 individuals not on a team from each region will qualify for the state championships.

There are 84 qualifiers per classification.

There will be a 24-team single-elimination bracket for both the 4A and 5A classifications. The top-eight seeds will receive a first round bye.
