Board of Directors Conclude October Meeting

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association Board of Directors met on Wednesday at the CHSAA office for its October meeting.

Most of the meeting was focused on a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) presentation by Dr. Scott Grant and a review of Bylaw proposal considerations for January’s Legislative Council meeting. Grant’s presentation was about the differences with NIL in the college and high school landscape, as he provided Board members with information and insight into NIL policy as it pertains to high schools and State Associations.

Board members then provided CHSAA staff with important updates and insights relative to the district or organizations they represent. Most updates pertained to interest around the work that the Classification and League Organizing (CLOC) and/or Transfer Task Forces are working on, while there were also comments around the shot clock, video transfer requirements and the CHSAA Hall of Fame process.

The CHSAA staff shared updates on the potential for a new office building, a rebranding project, the Women in Leadership conference and the growth of Unified Bowling.

Throughout the meeting, the Board voted to approve the August 2024 meeting minutes the August-September budget report, flag football ticket prices, Fountain-Fort Carson High School as the Spring 2025 boys volleyball state championship site and Jeffco’s Trailblazer Stadium as the Fall 2024 flag football state championship site.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, Nov. 20.
