AURORA – The final games of the quarterfinal round of the Field Hockey State Championships have been completed, meaning all four championship bracket semifinalists have been determined and all four consolation semifinalist teams have been finalized, as well. Due to a significant drop in temperatures scheduled for this coming week, the semifinal game times have been moved up to 4 and 5:45 p.m. both Monday and Tuesday night. The winners of the semifinal round games will advance to Wednesday’s finals.
In the main championship bracket, No. 1 Colorado Academy and No. 5 Kent Denver will meet in one semifinal, while No. 2 Cherry Creek and No. 3 Arapahoe will face in the other semifinal. Both semifinal games will be played at DPS All-City Stadium Monday night.
- Colorado Academy vs. Kent Denver at 4 p.m.
- Cherry Creek vs. Arapahoe at 5:45 p.m.
In the consolation bracket, No. 8 Smoky Hill, No. 11 Boulder Valley School District, No. 12 Cheyenne Mountain and No. 15 Pine Creek all advanced. Boulder Valley School District and Pine Creek will play in one semifinal, while Cheyenne Mountain and Smoky Hill will meet in the other. Both consolation semifinal games will be played next Tuesday at DPS All-City Stadium.

- Smoky Hill vs. Cheyenne Mountain at 5:45 p.m.
Colorado Academy advanced in the championship bracket by defeating No. 9 St. Mary’s Academy, 5-1, in the quarterfinals, while Kent Denver upset No. 4 Regis Jesuit, 3-2, and Arapahoe defeated No. 6 Denver East, 2-1. No. 2 Cherry Creek moved forward by shutting out No. 7 Mountain Vista, 7-0.
Pine Creek advanced in the consolation bracket by shutting out No. 10 Palmer Ridge, 1-0, while Boulder Valley School District shut out No. 14 Dakota Ridge, 2-0. Smoky Hill beat No. 16 Grandview, 7-0, and No. 12 Cheyenne Mountain used a shootout to advance past No. 13 Poudre School District, after the two teams tied 1-1.
