Girls Team Tennis: Quarterfinals Complete, Semifinals Up Next

AURORA – The quarterfinals of the Colorado High School Activities Association’s 2025 Girls Tennis Team State Championships have been completed. The winning teams have advanced to the semifinals, which are scheduled for Tuesday, May 6.

In 5A, No. 1 Ralston Valley and No. 2 Cherry Creek swept their opponents, while No. 3 Valor Christian and No. 5 Rock Canyon also advanced. Ralston Valley defeated No. 8 Fairview and Cherry Creek beat No. 7 Rocky Mountain. Valor Christian was a 6-1 winner over No. 6 Regis Jesuit, and Rock Canyon upended No. 4 Fossil Ridge 6-1. In the semifinals, Ralston Valley plays Rock Canyon, while Cherry Creek meets Valor Christian.

In 4, No. 1 Kent Denver and No. 2 Cheyenne Mountain swept their opponents, while No. 3 Mullen and No. 5 Air Academy also advanced. Kent Denver defeated No. 8 Grand Junction and Cheyenne Mountain stopped No. 7 Pueblo County. Meanwhile, Mullen was a 6-1 winner over No. 6 Palmer Ridge and Air Academy topped Niwot 5-2. In the semifinals, Kent Denver plays Air Academy and Cheyenne Mountain squares off with Mullen.

In 3A, the top four seeds have advanced to the semifinals, though both No. 3 Colorado Academy and No. 4 Holy Family were narrow 4-3 winners. No. 1 Peak to Peak defeated No. 9 Eaton, 5-2; and No. 2 Prospect Ridge Academy defeated No. 7 Timnath, 6-1. Colorado Academy edged No. 11 Lutheran and Holy Family held off No. 5 Vail Christian. In the semifinals Peak to Peak faces Holy Family, while Prospect Ridge Academy plays Colorado Academy.
