Also Wednesday, No. 9 Mountain Vista defeated No. 24 Columbine 20-3; No. 10 Legend beat No. 23 Monarch 19-3; No. 11 Cherokee Trail held off No. 22 Erie 15-9; No. 12 Poudre School District beat No. 21 Heritage 13-3; No. 13 Chatfield topped No. 20 Grandview 11-5; No. 17 Denver South defeated No. 16 Northfield 8-5.
In second-round matchups scheduled for Saturday, No. 1 Cherry Creek plays No. 17 Denver South; No. 2 Arapahoe matches up with No. 15 Lakewood; No. 3 Valor Christian plays No. 19 Rock Canyon; No. 4 Colorado Academy takes on No. 13 Chatfield; No. 5 Ralston Valley faces No. 12 Poudre School District; No. 6 Denver East takes on No. 11 Cherokee Trail; No. 7 Fairview faces No. 10 Legend; and No. 8 Regis Jesuit plays No. 9 Mountain Vista.
