The closest contests of the day saw No. 8 Denver East edge No. 9 Ralston Valley 8-7, and No. 5 Heritage hold off No. 12 Poudre School District, 11-9.
Also Wednesday, No. 1 Valor Christian defeated No. 16 Castle View, 16-3; No. 2 ThuderRidge beat No. 15 Northfield, 21-10; No. 3 Regis Jesuit was an 18-2 winner over No. 14 Chatfield; No. 4 Fairview beat No. 13 Pine Creek, 15-8; No. 6 Colorado Academy topped No. 11 Palmer Ridge, 18-3; and No. 7 Kent Denver beat No. 10 Cherry Creek, 12-6.
In quarterfinal matchups scheduled for Friday, No. 1 Valor Christian plays No. 8 Denver East; No. 2 ThunderRidge faces No. 7 Kent Denver; No. 3 Regis Jesuit meets No. 6 Colorado Academy; and No. 4 Fairview faces No. 5 Heritage.
