GREELEY — The final four teams for CHSAA’s 3A State Baseball Tournament were determined after games were played on Saturday.
No. 2 Coal Ridge won for the third time in two days, shutting out No. 1 University 3-0, to advance to the May 31championship round.
Meanwhile, University, No. 4 Resurrection Christian and No. 5 Montezuma-Cortez also advanced, the latter two with victories in elimination games. Those three teams will battle Friday for the chance to play Coal Ridge on May 31.
The first scheduled championship game is May 31 at 10 a.m., and Coal Ridge would be the champion if it wins. Should Coal Ridge lose the 10 a.m. game, the teams would play again in a winner-take-all final.
