COLORADO SPRINGS – Niwot’s Addison Ritzenhein capped her career with her third straight state championship, including two in a row in 5A, highlighting Saturday’s CHSAA Girls Cross County State Championships at Norris Penrose Event Center.
All four team and all four individual state champions were crowned on Saturday with The Classical Academy winning its state-leading 17th state championship (and third in a row) in 3A, Niwot winning for the seventh time in eight years while capturing its first 5A crown, Timnath winning a second straight 4A title and Ridgway earning its first-ever championship in 2A.
Eaton’s Delaney Reuter repeated as the 3A individual champion, while the other winners were Raegen McRae of Cheyenne Mountain in 4A and Ridgway’s Natasha Hessler in 2A.
