Ogsbury, who plays wide receiver and defensive back, had six interceptions, four passes defended, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on defense.
He also made 56 tackles, including a team-high 36 solo stops. His six picks are tied for the most in Class 5A.
On offense, Ogsbury made 33 catches for 679 yards and six touchdowns this season. He also had 21 carries for 240 yards rushing.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Ogsbury also runs track for the Angels as a sprinter and member of the school’s relay teams. His Hudl profile lists his 40-yard dash at 4.5 seconds.
He becomes the 18th known in-state player to make a Division I commitment for football. Ogsbury is Denver East’s first Division I player since Ezekiel Bishop signed with Arizona State in 2011.
This season, Ogsbury helped Denver East to a 7-3 record, the most wins the program has had since the 2008 season. The Angels lost to Overland in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs.
A choral group comprised of five seniors from Niwot High School were named the winners of CHSAA’s National Anthem Contest on Friday.
Together, they will sing the national anthem prior to the Class 4A and 5A football championship games at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Nov. 29.
“We are looking forward to seeing them perform,” said Harry Waterman, CHSAA assistant commissioner who administers football.
The group — Katie Gillett, Joe Castinado, Kenny Wilson, Steven Schaetzl, and Abrianna Judson — were named finalists on Thursday after finishing in the top three of a vote among 10 semifinalists. More than 23,000 votes were cast in the contest.
On Friday, the CHSAA staff selected the choral group as the winner of the contest.

AURORA — The 2015 Class 3A boys and girls basketball state tournaments will be played at the Colorado School of Mines’ Lockridge Arena.
CHSAA’s Board of Directors on Wednesday unanimously approved the change in site for the tournament, which was held last year at the Air Force Academy. The move is being made in an effort to boost attendance, said Bert Borgmann, CHSAA assistant commissioner who oversees basketball. Mines is a more central location for most of the state.
“The facility is one of the nicest in the state, and reflects our commitment to putting our tournaments in quality venues — just as it has been in the past,” Borgmann said
First-round and Sweet 16 3A games will remain at host sites, while the Great 8 and beyond will be at Mines from March 12-14, 2015. That includes consolation games.
Lockridge Arena holds 3,000 people and is located inside of the Colorado School of Mines’ Student Recreation Center at 17th and Elm Street. It is the home of the Orediggers’ men’s and women’s basketball teams, as well as the school’s volleyball team.
Sites for the other tournaments remained unchanged. 5A will be at the Denver Coliseum for the Great 8; 2A is at CSU-Pueblo for the Great 8 and beyond; and 1A is at the Budweiser Event Center for the Great 8 and beyond. Additionally, the 5A and 4A final fours and championship games will be held at the University of Colorado.

He averaged 8.1 points and 4.3 rebounds last season in helping Overland reach the Class 5A Final 4 last season.
Swan is the 11th known boys basketball recruit to announce his college plans from Colorado’s Class of 2015. Among that group is five other Division I commits, including teammate Austin Conway, who is headed to Wyoming.
With Swan, Conway and junior De’Ron Davis, a top national recruit, Overland is expected to challenge for the 5A title again this season. CHSAANow.com’s preseason poll will be out later this month.
