Crowley County is the only new addition to the 2A poll as the Chargers land at No. 9.

  • Girls soccer rankings: Top teams holding strong

    Lewis-Palmer girls soccer team
Lewis-Palmer was one of four No. 1 teams to stay put in the girls soccer rankings this week. (Josh Watt/CHSAANow.com)

The top teams are holding strong in the CHSAANow.com girls soccer rankings. Grandview, Lewis-Palmer, Kent Denver and Vail Mountain all held on to their No. 1 spots as the regular season comes to a close this week.

There was not a lot of over change in the Class 5A rankings. There were no newcomers and the only change in position was Regis Jesuit moving up one spot to No. 6. They simply traded places with No. 7 Broomfield.

A similar occurrence happened in the 4A rankings. There were no new teams to play their way in and any change in place happened mostly by one or two spots.

In 3A, the top four teams all held on to their spot from a week ago. Peak to Peak climbed to No. 5, SkyView Academy climbed to No. 8 and Manitou Springs jumped to No. 9.

Sterling is the only newcomer to any classification this week, landing at No. 10 in the 3A rankings.

The same five teams from last week occupy the 2A rankings. the Dawson School jumped one spot to No. 2 and Front Range Christian dropped one spot to land at No. 3.

The rankings, voted upon by coaches and select media members, are the official polls of the Association.

With the regular season wrapping up this week, these will serve as the final rankings of the regular season. The state tournament brackets will be announced on CHSAANow.com on Sunday.
