State football brackets released in 3A and 4A
(Lance Wendt/LanceWendt.com) AURORA — The 2018 state football playoff brackets were released Sunday for Class 3A and Class 4A.

The playoff fields were captured with league champions earning automatic berths, and the at-large berths were filled using the final RPI standings of the regular season.
Each class had a seeding committee, and those committees used the following criteria, in no particular order: head-to-head, common opponents, RPI, strength of schedule. In addition, there is a seeding procedure. More information is available here.
Each bracket will begin play this weekend. Their championship games are set for Dec. 1, with 4A playing at Mile High Stadium in Denver, and 3A at CSU-Pueblo’s ThunderBowl.
