AURORA — Conner Nantkes threw a complete-game shutout, allowing just three hits, as Cherokee Trail baseball upset Class 5A’s second-ranked Cherry Creek 10-0 on Thursday.
Nantkes was also 1-for-2 with a double and three RBIs at the plate. Michael Morris and Ryan Sullivan also had three RBIs apiece for Cherokee Trail.
The win avenged a loss earlier this week to Cherry Creek in which the Bruins walked off on a double.
