With Class 2A-5A baseball regionals originally scheduled for this week, and with poor weather conditions being forecast, rescheduling decisions will be made by the site hosts and participating teams at each regional in order to best accommodate teams’ various individual needs.
“With 32 different regional sites around the state, a one-size-fits-all approach regarding weather, graduations, officials’ availability, etc., isn’t practical,” CHSAA assistant commissioner Adam Bright said. “Regional hosts have been communicated with and will make decisions at the local level. That early communication has led to regionals being reschedule for today, Saturday, Sunday and Monday already. Our member schools collectively have done a tremendous job working with each other on scheduling for this weekend.”
The Class 1A baseball season has already been completed on Thursday with Merino winning the championship.
