CHSAA welcomes back Ryan Casey as Assistant Commissioner

The Colorado High School Activities Association is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan Casey as Assistant Commissioner of Business Intelligence and Analytics. Casey, who was the Director of Digital Media at CHSAA for eight years from 2012-21, Casey will assume his new duties on Feb. 6.

17522“We are beyond excited to have Ryan Casey coming back to the CHSAA family,” CHSAA Commissioner Michael Krueger said. “Ryan brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to the team, but most importantly, he brings the heart of a servant leader and I know that his commitment and desire to work on behalf of our membership’s sport and activity programs is what drives his passion. We are truly blessed to have him as a teammate.”

In this newly created position at CHSAA, Casey will spearhead large projects, assist with making internal processes more efficient, managing IT, web development, legislative council, live results, leveraging data and insights to inform key decisions, as well as other special projects and emerging duties as assigned.

For the past two years, Casey has been a partnership manager at MaxPreps working with state Associations. Prior to his first tenure at CHSAA, Casey was the online prep sports editor at the Denver Post for two years.

“I have really enjoyed working with the talented team at MaxPreps,” Casey said. “The opportunity to work with such a passionate group that makes a national impact was special. I’m very excited to be back working with the team at CHSAA, especially under Mike Krueger’s leadership. I’m excited for the future of the Association and I’m ready to get to work for the membership.”

During his previous tenure at CHSAA, Casey founded CHSAANow.com, oversaw seeding and rankings, helped facilitate CLOC, and was an advisory member on multiple committees.
