Below is the final data for ice hockey from the CHSAA Seeding Index which will be used to select and seed the fields.
Each league will receive one automatic qualifier (marked with an asterisk in the seeding data). In addition to league automatic qualifiers, the CHSAA Selection & Seeding Index (below) will be utilized to capture at-large qualifiers to the State Tournament bracket. League automatic qualifiers not ranked in the top 12 teams by CHSAA Selection & Seeding Index in 5A and the top 10 in 4A, will replace the lowest ranked non-automatic qualifiers in the top 12 (5A) and top 10 (4A) in CHSAA Selection & Seeding Index.
The CHSAA Selection & Seeding Index will seed teams 1-12 in 5A and 1-10 in 4A. There will be no movement 1-4 for 4A/5A on the bracket based on the CHSAA Selection & Seeding Index. The placement of 5A teams listed 5-12 and 4A teams listed 5-10 may be moved on the bracket due to geography and first round league opponents. The Seeding Committee will avoid league matchups in the 1st Round ONLY.
The CHSAA State Tournament brackets will be released on Monday, February 20th in both the 4A and 5A classifications.
