CHSAA Many Faces of Leadership Set for Sept. 7

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association is excited to present the first-annual Women in Leadership conference, titled “The Many Faces of Leadership” on Thursday, Sept. 7.

This event was created to build a supportive and encouraging community of women in education-based activities and athletics across the state. All school personnel, coaches, sponsors, directors, officials and anyone else who wants to be empowered to take the plunge and embrace leadership opportunities in any and all forms is invited to attend.

The location will be at the Stanley Marketplace (2501 Dallas St., Aurora, CO 80010) which is a community of 50+ independently owned Colorado businesses (many female owned!) that offers places to eat, drink, shop, exercise, play, work, and more. In addition, there is a beautiful space called The Hanger where our conference will take place.

The day will begin with a yoga class, so please dress in loose, comfortable clothing, and if you have your own yoga mat, please bring it! Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and the day will run from approximately 7:15 am (check-in) to the conclusion of our panel lunch (2 pm).

On the RSVP form, there will be an opportunity for you to volunteer to be a mentor, or to ask to have a mentor. Additionally, it is our goal to have monthly connects, and we will ask for your preferred time to meet.

A fee of $45 will be charged to help cover some of the expenses.  If you need hotel recommendations, please reach out to Bethany Brookens directly at bbrookens@chsaa.org.
