Field Hockey: Postseason Action Starts With Two Thrilling Matches

AURORA – The first night of the CHSAA’s 2023 Field Hockey State Championship Tournament featured two thrilling matchups. The winners will both advance to the second round, with matches being played at the home site of the higher-seeded team on Wednesday, Oct. 25. Start times can be found on the brackets once they’re available.

No. 11 seed Mountain Vista secured their spot in the second round by defeating No. 10 seed Smoky Hill by a score of 2-1. They will play No. 7 seed Arapahoe in the second round. Meanwhile, No. 9 seed Palmer Ridge defeated No. 12 seed Dakota Ridge in overtime to advance to the second round, where they will play No. 8 seed Liberty.

The state championship finals will then be played the next week, on Nov. 1, at All-City Stadium in Denver. Tickets can be found here, once made available.
