No. 1 seed Vail Mountain advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating No. 16 seed Front Range Christian 8-1. They will play No. 8 seed Telluride in the next round. Telluride advanced past No. 9 seed Dawson School after outscoring them 5-3 on penalty kicks following a 2-2 tie.
No. 4 seed Bishop Machebeuf will host No. 5 seed Loveland Classical, after Bishop Machebeuf beat No. 13 seed Lake County 5-2 and Loveland beat No. 12 seed SkyView Academy 2-0.
No. 14 seed Heritage Christian beat No. 3 seed Fountain Valley in a thrilling 3-2 upset in the first round to reach their quarterfinal matchup against No. 6 seed Crested Butte. Crested Butte reached the quarterfinals by defeating No. 11 seed Front Range Baptist 4-1.
No. 15 seed Jefferson and No. 7 seed Denver Christian will meet up in the quarterfinals after Jefferson stunned No. 2 seed Thomas MacLaren by outscoring them on penalty kicks following a 2-2 tie. Denver Christian defeated No. 10 seed Lotus School of Excellence 3-0.
The 2A semifinals will be played on Nov. 4 at Denver’s All-City Stadium, and tickets are available for purchase. The state championship finals will then be played on Nov. 11, at Switchbacks Weidner Field in Colorado Springs. Championship tickets can be found here.
