AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Associations ice hockey rankings are now live.
In lieu of weekly coaches polls for team sports, CHSAA is focusing its efforts on publicizing its Seedings Index throughout the season. The CHSAA Seeding Index is one of the main tools used to determine qualification and postseason seedings for all team sports. Unlike coaches polls, the rankings can be updated hourly, ultimately giving teams, coaches, schools and fans a better understanding of where a team ranks throughout the season, especially in the lead up to the postseason.
With that, it’s important to note that the rankings below will fluxuate as compared to what’s on the Seedings Index page because the data on that page is updated every time a new result is entered.
In order to qualify for the CHSAA Seeding Index, teams must meet a minimum number of games played. Games and minimums are determined by MaxPreps and vary by sport and time of the season. With that, the Seedings Index will not be available at the start of every season, and will be published as teams get deeper into their seasons (approximately 3-5 weeks into a particular season).
The rankings below are a snippet of where teams stand entering the week of Dec. 18. View the full rankings on the Seedings Index page.
