AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association is proud to announce the selections of the President of the State Representatives, the Vice President of Communications and the Vice President of Leadership Development for the 2024-2025 school year.

After conducting a vote among the 2024-2025 State Representatives, Eaglecrest rising senior John Krug III was elected President, Vista Peak rising junior Isabella Malloy was elected Vice President of Communications, and Eaglecrest rising senior Jayda Ward was elected Vice President of Leadership Development.

I am excited to spend the year working closely with our newly elected state representative leadership team,” CHSAA Assistant Commissioner Rashaan Davis commented. “Their extensive leadership experience, dedication to amplifying student voices across Colorado, and strong commitment to serving others embody the very best of our state’s students. It is going to be a great year of learning and leading.

The President of the State Representatives, John Krug III, will oversee the operations of, and assign duties to the CHSAA State Representatives; operate as the Chair for state representative meetings; serve as the direct liaison with CHSAA Assistant Commissioner Rashaan Davis and meet annually with CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger; present the State of the State address at the CHSAA Summer Leadership Camp; and attend all CHSAA student leadership events, where they will present workshops, lead discussion groups, and network with student leaders from all across the state.

I am honored to be selected as the CHSAA State Representative president for the 2024-2025 school year,” the newly elected president said. “Working alongside 15 talented, passionate and committed individuals makes me so proud to not only represent them and CHSAA, but to also represent all student leaders who have found their niche and want to make their schools better. The state reps are excited to recognize student leaders, councils, and overall the amazing things students from all across Colorado doing. I wouldn’t be anywhere without the amazing support from my council, and more specifically my advisors, Mrs. Laferrara and Mrs. Kim. I am proud and honored to serve as the state president, and build a community that helps people find who they are. As I step into the role of president, I hope to see all leaders at future CHSAA events and create new high school stories.

The Vice President of Leadership Development, Jayda Ward, will assist the President of the State Representatives; plan and execute different initiatives; build student advisory partnerships with CHSAA partners; cultivate leadership skills; and develop student leadership workshops and summit programs.

It is truly an honor to be elected as the Vice President of Leadership Development by the state representatives,” Ward remarked. “I am looking forward to collaborating more with our CHSAA board to create goals and expand our values for the student leadership aspect of the organization! Being a state representative means amplifying student voice statewide to make sure everyone is equally represented within the organization!

The Vice President of Communications, Isabella Malloy, will provide organizational support for the CHSAA State Representatives; serve as an adviser to the CHSAA Director of Communications on student engagement processes and work with CHSAA Assistant Commissioner Rashaan Davis to produce a monthly newsletter for advisers; update the CHSAA State Representatives social media platforms; and coordinate efforts for more impactful communication strategies across the state

I am super excited that I got this position because I enjoy working on social media and newsletters and I’m also really excited to help represent Aurora Public Schools and Vista PEAK on the state level,” Malloy said. “I can’t wait to use my design and media skills to show off all the amazing things CHSAA does!
