AURORA – Preseason competitons for the Colorado High School Activities Association’s fall esports slate can officially begin today. CHSAA’s fall esports games are Rocket League, League of Legends and, for the first time ever, Splatoon 3.
The enrollment deadline for teams to declare what game(s) it intends to play is Friday, Sept. 20. Rosters will be locked on Monday, Nov. 11, with the regular season ending the week of Nov. 14. Playoffs will begin the week of Nov. 18. All information can be found on the PlayVS website.
Currently, there are seven schools registered to participate in all three games – Cherry Creek, Denver West, Ellicott, Highlands Ranch, Ponderosa, Poudre and Vista Ridge – with some schools hosting more than one team per game.
The full lists of schools registered to participate in each game (as of Sept. 10), are listed below:
League of Legends Teams (21 schools): Akron, Centaurus, Cherokee Trail, Cherry Creek, Colorado Early Colleges, Denver West, Ellicott, Fairview, Grandview, Highland, Highlands Ranch, Overland, Ponderosa, Poudre, Rock Canyon, Steamboat Springs, Sterling, University, Vista Peak, Vista Ridge and Wray

Last month, boys golf officially started practice on Monday, Aug. 5, while the rest of the fall sports officially launched their practices on Monday, Aug. 12.
