Flag Football: First-Ever Postseason Game in the Books

AURORA – The first-ever postseason flag football game for the Colorado High School Activities Association is in the books. On Tuesday night, No. 17 Ellicott defeated No. 16 Denver North, 6-2, at Denver North in the first round of the inaugural 4A Flag Football State Championships.

Between the 4A and 5A brackets, there will be seven more first-round games tomorrow night, all hosted by the higher seed. The eight first-round winners will all advance to this Saturay’s Opening Weekend games. Opening Weekend for 4A will be played at the NAAC, with the 5A games being played at Jeffco Stadium and Trailblazer Stadium. Game times and matchups can be found on the 4A bracket and the 5A bracket. 5A First Round

  • Wednesday, Oct. 23
    No. 13 Chatfield vs. No. 20 Arapahoe
    No. 14 Ralston Valley vs. No. 19 Northfield
    No. 15 Grandview vs. No. 18 Columbine
    No. 16 Horizon vs. No. 17 Regis Jesuit

The Flag Football State Championships – both the semifinals and finals games – will be played on Saturday, Nov. 2. The semifinal games will be played at both Jeffco Stadium and Trailblazer Stadium in Lakewood, with the championship games at Trailblazer Stadium.
