Unified Bowling Regionals Take Place This Week

AURORA – Postseason competition for Unified bowling will begin this week for the Colorado High School Activities Association.

There will be 10 regionals taking place across the state this Tuesday through Friday, with the top three teams in each region advancing to next week’s Unified Bowling State Championship. Exceptions are Regions 5 and 6, which will have only five teams and thus will have only two teams advance.

Each team will bowl five three-player co-ed/modified Baker Games with the top-three teams being determined by total pinfall through those five games.

A Baker Game is when team members rotate between the three players with each participant rolling one ball before a teammate rolls the next. Regardless of a spare or strike, the next participant will always roll the next ball. This format gives equal playing time for each member, creating meaningful participation that is essential to the Unified Sports® model.

The top three teams by total pinfall from each region (other than Regions 5 and 6, which will have two teams) will advance to the 2024 Unified Bowling State Championships, which will be held on Friday, Nov. 22 at the Bowlero at Lone Tree in Lone Tree. Start time is scheduled for 10:45 a.m.
