AURORA – The semifinalists for League of Legends have been decided, with Wednesday winners advancing to the in-person final day of the Colorado High School Activities Association’s 2024 Esports Fall State Championships.
The in-person final will be at Localhost in Lakewood on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
The top four League of Legends seeds all advanced from Wednesday’s quarterfinals, with No. 1 Cherokee Trail Varsity defeating No. 8 Overland Blazers LoL 2-0, No. 2 Fairview Knights beating No. 7 Wolfpack Legends (Grandview) 2-1, No. 3 Ponderosa PricklyPentaPorcupinePeople powering past No. 6 CHS LoL Varsity (Centaurus) 2-0 and No. 4 Creek League of Legends (Cherry Creek) edging VPP STAMPEDE (Vista Peak) 2-1.
In the League of Legends semifinals, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 10, Cherokee Trail faces Cherry Creek, and Fairview plays Ponderosa.
The championship in League of Legends is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
