AURORA – The first round of the Esports State Championships for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been completed, with the second-round matchups set for this afternoon at 4 p.m.
Round 2 winners will advance to the in-person final site – Localhost in Lakewood – on Thursday, April 23, to begin their quest for the state title. The in-person finals will begin with the Round of 16 games at 9 a.m., followed by the quarterfinals at 10:30 a.m., the semifinals at noon and the championship finals at 1:30 p.m.
The Esports State Championships for Mario Kart will also take place at Localhost on April 24. The inaugural unified championship will be played at 10:30 a.m., while the fourth-annual Mario Kart championship will be at approximately 5 p.m.
Trophy and awards presentations will take place after each individual final.
