AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association will host the 2025 Girls Tennis Individual State Championships this Thursday through Saturday in Colorado Springs, Denver and Pueblo.
The 5A tournament will be played at both Denver Tennis Park and Denver South on Thursday, with the all of the singles matches and No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches being played at Denver Tennis Park. The No. 3 and No. 4 doubles matches will take place at Denver South High School on Thursday only. The tournament will then be consolidated and all matches on Friday and Saturday will be at Denver Tennis Park. The championship are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
- Note: with school in session at Denver South High School on Thursday, spectators are asked to please not park at Denver South. Parking is available at the Denver Tennis Park and overflow parking will be available at All-City Stadium.
- Denver Tennis Park has provided a live stream of all matches played at DTP.
The 4A tournament will be played at Pueblo City Park in Pueblo. Finals and playback finals will all begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The 3A tournament will be played at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs. Finals and playback finals will all begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Two of the three individual state champions from last year are back this year, looking to defend their titles. In 5A, Valor Christian’s Caroline Daugherty – now a junior – won No. 1 singles to become the first Eagle to ever win an individual state title, while Kent Denver’s then-junior Lila Moldenhauer captured her second-straight individual title in 4A a year ago. In 3A, D’Evelyn’s Nicole Celechovsky – then a freshman – captured her first individual state title, but she’s opted to not play high school tennis this season.
Following this weekend’s individual state championships, six teams will take the court the the Dual Team State Championships on Tuesday at Denver Tennis Park. A team state champion will be crowned in 3A, 4A and 5A.
