AURORA – Jenn Roberts-Uhlig, an Associate Commissioner at the Colorado High School Activity Association, was honored as the Colorado Athletic Trainers’ Association’s President’s Award winner during CATA’s Annual Clinical Symposium.
The President’s Award is a discretionary award presented by the CATA President to someone they feel supports and advocates for the athletic training profession. Roberts-Uhlig was selected because of her unwavering support, advocacy and appreciation for the athletic training profession. Her continued efforts have made a meaningful and lasting impact on the profession and those it serves.
Roberts-Uhlig has served CHSAA for more than 13 years and currently oversees boys and girls cross country, gymnastics, unified bowling, spirit and boys and girls track and field. She also provides leadership for CHSAA’s Sports Medicine Advisory Committee (SMAC), service provider partnership, Women in Leadership initiatives and is CHSAA’s liaison to the Colorado Athletic Directors Association (CADA).
Throughout her tenure with CHSAA, Roberts-Uhlig has been a steadfast advocate for athletic trainers and the health and safety of Colorado’s student-athletes. Throughout her work with the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee and her efforts to support the inclusion of athletic trainers at CHSAA’s state championship events, she has become a trusted and respected leader among secondary school athletic trainers across the state.
The Colorado Athletic Trainers’ Association (CATA) is a non-profit professional organization representing over 600 certified athletic trainers across the state. Established in 1982, CATA is dedicated to advancing the athletic training profession, advocating for optimal healthcare scope of practice, and ensuring student-athlete safety.
