Update, 12:09 p.m.: After the seeding committee left, there was an issue with the 3A bracket that needs to be verified. That bracket will be posted on Monday by noon. The 32 qualifiers remain the same.

AURORA — Boys soccer’s state tournament brackets were released on Sunday, and Denver East (5A), Cheyenne Mountain (4A) and Kent Denver (3A) are the top seeds.

The complete brackets are available here:

The 32-team fields in each classification were determined by automatic qualifiers laid out in the soccer bulletin, as well as the final RPI standings, which came out Sunday morning.

Early dates vary for each field, but all quarterfinals are Nov. 5, and semifinals will be Nov. 9. The championship games are set for Nov. 12 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

Unbeaten Denver East (15-0-0) heads the 5A field, and will host No. 32 Monarch in the first round. Other high seeds include No. 2 Boulder, No. 3 Cherry Creek, No. 4 Broomfield, No. 5 Fairview, No. 6 Arapahoe, No. 7 Grandview and No. 8 Fort Collins.

The 5A tournament begins on Thursday, with the second round next Wednesday.

In 4A, Cheyenne Mountain (13-1-1) leads the way as the No. 1. Also highly seeded are Lewis-Palmer (No. 2), The Classical Academy (No. 3), Air Academy (No. 4), Mullen (No. 5), Denver West (No. 6), Durango (No. 7), and Silver Creek (No. 8.).

The 4A field begins play on Wednesday, and the second round is next Tuesday.

The 3A field is led by unbeaten Kent Denver (14-0-1). Other high seeds are No. 2 KIPP, No. 3 Colorado Academy, No. 4 Vail Mountain, No. 5 Colorado Springs Christian, No. 6 Jefferson Academy, No. 7 DSST-Stapleton and No. 8 Coal Ridge.

In 3A, the first round is on Friday, and the second round is Saturday.

  • Volleyball rankings: Dayspring Christian moves up to No. 1 in 2A

It’s Dayspring Christian’s week to shine in the Class 2A CHSAANow.com volleyball rankings.

Powered by sweeps over Gilpin County and Dawson, the Eagles are the new No. 1 team in the rankings. They are the only new No. 1 team in any class this week.

Paonia, who sat at No. 1 a week ago, dropped only one spot to No. 2.

Yuma made a noticeable jumping, gaining three spots to land at No. 3. There were no new  teams in the 2A poll this week.

Rock Canyon held its spot as the top team in 5A, but it was Arapahoe, not Fossil Ridge, coming in at No. 2. The Sabercats dropped one spot to land at No. 3.

Loveland was the lone newcomer in 5A, joining the rankings at No. 10.

Lewis-Palmer and Cheyenne Mountain remained at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively in this week’s 4A poll.

The two traditional volleyball powers will face-off Thursday in a game that will in all likelihood decide the Pikes Peak Athletic Conference Championship.

Montrose jumped into the 4A poll at No. 9, the only newcomer this week.

Like 5A and 4A, the top team in the 3A poll went unchanged as Eaton holds a firm grip on that spot.

Valley made the big jump this week to land at No. 3, two spots better than last week’s rankings.

Pagosa Springs (No. 9) and Coal Ridge (No. 10) were the two newcomers to the 3A poll.

Fleming hung on to the No. 1 spot in 1A with Kit Carson still biting its heels at No. 2.

Weldon Valley (No. 4) and Nucla (No. 5) each gained a spot from a week ago.

There were no new teams in the 1A poll.

The rankings, voted upon by coaches and select media members, are the official polls of the Association. Polls are released each Monday.

Complete rankings for all classes are below.

  • Boys soccer rankings: Cheyenne Mountain returns to No. 1 in 4A

    Cheyenne Mountain Lewis-Palmer boys soccer
    (Dan Mohrmann/CHSAANow.com)

A week after falling out of the top spot in the Class 4A CHSAANow.com boys soccer rankings, Cheyenne Mountain is back at No. 1.

With a 3-0 win over Air Academy last week, the Indians clinched the Pikes Peak Athletic Conference title and look to be the team to beat as the regular season comes to a close this week.

The Classical Academy, who sat atop the rankings last week, drop only to No. 2.

Thanks a recent tie with Cheyenne Mountain and a win last week over Lewis-Palmer, Palmer Ridge cracks the 4A rankings at No. 7 this week.

Boulder won both its games last week and remains undefeated on the year, giving voters plenty of reasons to keep them at the No. 1 spot in 5A.

Denver East and Broomfield also held firm at No. 2 and No. 3.

Fort Collins made a two-spot jump to No. 8 while Arapahoe (No. 9) and Ralston Valley (No. 10) are the two newcomers to the 5A poll.

Kent Denver is still the No. 1 team in 3A with KIPP, Vail Mountain and Jefferson Academy hanging on to their spots at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.

DSST-Stapleton, the lone newcomer in the 3A rankings — lands at No. 6.

The rankings, voted upon by coaches and select media members, are the official polls of the Association. Polls are released each Monday during the regular season.

Complete rankings for each class are below.

  • Boys soccer rankings: The Classical Academy moves up to No. 1 in 4A

Evergreen The Classical Academy boys soccer
    (Lance Wendt/LanceWendt.com)

Boys soccer in Class 4A has been competitive across the board all season. This week is just another indication of that as The Classical Academy takes over the No. 1 in the poll, knocking Cheyenne Mountain down to No. 2.

The Indians played to a tie with Palmer Ridge last week.

Lewis-Palmer climbs to No. 3 thanks a 2-1 win over Air Academy last Thursday night.

Silver Creek is the only new team in the 4A poll, coming in at No. 10.

Boulder received every first-place vote this week to remain the unquestioned top team in the 5A rankings. Denver East still sits at No. 2. Both teams remain unbeaten on the year.

At No. 9 Arvada West is the only team to break into the 5A poll this week.

Kent Denver is still the No. 1 team in 3A, but KIPP surged up the rankings to come in as the new No. 2 team.

Salida lands at No. 10 and is the only new team in the 3A poll.

The rankings, voted upon by coaches and select media members, are the official polls of the Association. Polls are released each Monday during the regular season.

  • Boys soccer rankings: Cheyenne Mountain bumps up to No. 1 in 4A

    Cheyenne Mountain Lewis-Palmer boys soccer
    (Dan Mohrmann/CHSAANow.com)

Cheyenne Mountain is back on top of the Class 4A CHSAANow.com boys soccer rankings. The Indians had taken the top spot in the Sept. 6 poll, but a loss knocked them out of first on Sept. 19.

But a 2-1 win over Lewis-Palmer last Thursday was enough to put them back in the driver’s seat.

Air Academy only slipped down to No. 2 with the rankings and will have a chance to match the Indians’ move from last week as they’ll face Lewis-Palmer on Thursday.

Greeley Central broke into the 4A rankings at No. 9, the only newcomer this week.

In 5A, Boulder is still the No. 1 team, but has fresh company on its heels as Denver East jumps to No. 2.

Mountain Vista made a two-spot jump to come in at No. 6 this week, while Arapahoe broke in at No. 8, the only new team to the 5A poll.

Kent Denver remains the No. 1 team in 3A, but Metro League rival Jefferson Academy made a jump to No. 2, three spots better than a week ago.

The Jaguars’ only loss of the season was to the Sun Devils back on Sept. 15.

Vail Mountain also made a three-spot leap to come in at No. 3.

One new team climbed into the 3A poll as Basalt comes in at No. 9.

The rankings, voted upon by coaches and select media members, are the official polls of the Association. Polls are released each Monday during the regular season.

  • Volleyball rankings: Rock Canyon back on top of the 5A poll

    Rock Canyon Legend volleyball
    (Ray Chen/ArrayPhoto.com)

The ever-shifting Class 5A CHSAANow.com volleyball rankings has another new(ish) No. 1 team.

Rock Canyon regains the top spot after falling off the perch in the Week 1 rankings. The Jaguars came in as the top team in the preseason rankings.

Fossil Ridge and Denver East are also making noise this week, landing at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.

The Sabercats were able to knock off defending 4A champion Cheyenne Mountain on Friday, giving them the credential to come in right behind Rock Canyon.

The Angels got a huge win over Chatfield last Wednesday, which proved to be a huge factor in their jump.

Coronado is the only new team to break into the 5A rankings, coming in at No. 9.

Lewis-Palmer is still the No. 1 team in 4A, getting every first-place vote in the process.

Montrose (No. 4) and Valor Christian (No. 7) each jumped three spots this week and Niwot and Silver Creek each broke into the rankings at No. 9 and No. 10 respectively.

Like Lewis-Palmer in 4A, Eaton is still the top team in the 3A rankings by a unanimous vote.

Three different teams jumped a couple of spots this week as Valley climbs to No. 2, Sterling lands at No. 3 and Pagosa Springs comes in at No. 5.

At No. 8, Coal Ridge is the only new team in the 3A poll.

The most turnover of the week came in the 2A poll as a staggering five teams broke into the rankings.

While Paonia holds on to the No. 1 spot, Hoehne (No 5), Ridgway (No. 6), Sargent (No. 7), Wray (No. 9) and West Grand (No. 10) are all newly ranked teams this week.

Fleming hangs on to the No. 1 ranking in 1A, as do the other top five teams from last week.

Kiowa jumped two spots to land at No. 8 while Nucla (No. 6) and McClave (No. 10) are new to the 1A poll.

The rankings, voted upon by coaches and select media members, are the official polls of the Association. Polls are released each Monday.

  • Boys soccer rankings: Boulder, Air Academy new No. 1 teams

    (Jeff Tucker/jefferywtucker.zenfolio.com)
Boulder is newly-minted as the No. 1 team in 5A boys soccer. (Jeff Tucker/jefferywtucker.zenfolio.com)

The top of the Class 5A and 4A CHSAANow.com boys soccer rankings have a new look to them this week.

With wins over Legacy and Salesianum (Del.) last week, Boulder is now firmly planted in the No. 1 spot of the 5A rankings, taking the spot of rival Fairview.

It was a 3-1 loss to the same Saleianum team that knocked Fairview out of the top spot and down to No. .3.

The No. 2 spot also has a new occupant as Cherry Creek climbs three spots to land right behind Boulder.

Grandview also climbed this week landing at No. 7 which is two spots better than a week ago.

Mountain Vista is the only new team in the 5A poll at No. 8.

Despite going 0-1 last week, Air Academy takes the top in 4A, unseating Pikes Peak Athletic Conference rival Cheyenne Mountain.

The Kadets lost to Pine Creek while the Indians were beaten by D’Evelyn.

Lewis-Palmer climbed two spots to land at No. 5, making three of the top five spots occupied by PPAC teams.

Niwot (No. 7) and D’Evelyn (No. 9) are the two new teams to this week’s 4A rankings.

The only team to hold on to its No. 1 spot this week is 3A’s Kent Denver. The top three spots in the 3A poll remained intact from a week ago.

Jefferson Academy is the only new team in the 3A poll, rounding things out at No. 10.

The rankings, voted upon by coaches and select media members, are the official polls of the Association. Polls are released each Monday during the regular season.
