Simental clutch late as No. 3 Pueblo West girls basketball beats No. 2 Pueblo South

Hannah Simental was clutch late in the game as No. 3 Pueblo West girls basketball edged Pueblo South on Thursday.

Chaparral (5A) and Holly (2A) have each moved up to the No. 1 spot in their respective boys basketball rankings this week.

Colorado Springs Christian has moved up to the No. 1 spot in this week’s Class 3A girls basketball poll.

Peyton Westfall scored 22 points, Grant Wilkinson had 20, and Pine Creek boys basketball beat Pueblo West 77-70 on Thursday.

In the first boys basketball rankings released after the winter break, Mountain Vista has moved up to the No. 1 spot in the Class 5A poll.
