Coaches Conference Kicks Off Speech and Debate Season

With the annual gathering of coaches, the 2023-2024 Speech and Debate season is officially underway. For the next two days, Speech and Debate coaches will talk about the rules of competition, program ethics and equity, how to host a tournament, and the best ways to grow speaking, debating, and leadership skills of the student participants.

Poudre School District Hosts Student Leadership Event

Over 360 student leaders and advisers from across the Poudre School District gathered today to hear from one of the nation’s top youth motivational speakers, Scott Bakovich. The day was an opportunity to learn leadership skills, network with student leaders from across the district’s seven attending schools, and to share ideas on how to build their school cultures in new and different ways.

CHSAA Music Season is Underway

The Colorado High School Activities Association music season is underway! CHSAA is proud to partner with member schools to host Large Group Music Festivals throughout the month of April. There have already been a number of stellar performances throughout the first half of the month, and there are more expected throughout the rest of the month.

CHSAA selects State Representatives for 2023-2024 school year

The Colorado High School Activities Association is proud to announce the selection of State Representatives for the 2023-2024 school year. These representatives will carry on the tradition of lending a student voice to the association by sitting on select committees, raising student participation/awareness of the CHSAA’s mission and vision, and growing their individual skills as leaders within their own school communities and across the state.

Student leadership advisers and school administrators attend California conference

Many Colorado student leadership advisers and school administrators are using this week as an opportunity to attend the California Association of Directors of Activities (CADA) State Convention. This convention is the largest event in the nation for Activities Directors. As stated on their website, “The CADA organization is the number one organization in the United States for teaching and developing leadership skills students will use for the rest of their lives as they learn to serve their schools, communities, and families.”
