AURORA – Denver East certainly made a splash at this year’s Class 5A Speech and Debate State Championships.

AURORA – The 5A Speech and Debate State Championships are slated to be contested this Friday and Saturday at Overland High School. Throughout the two-day championship, six students will be looking to defend their titles from a year ago, while eight will be looking to win a gold medal for the second-straight year.

NIWOT – Following two incredible days of competition, Resurrection Christian took home the 3A CHSAA overall Speech and Debate Sweepstakes for the second time in just as many years, with University coming in second. The Cougars also took home the Speech sweepstakes, while Eagle Valley took home the Debate sweepstakes. 

INDIANAPOLIS — The NFHS has announced the selection of “Arctic” as the National High School Policy Debate Topic for the 2025-26 academic year. 

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) will be hosting its Colorado Speech and Debate Coaches Conference on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 23-24 at Cherry Creek High School. This year’s theme will be Teaching, Coaching and Collaborating for Success.
