AURORA, Co. – The Colorado High School Activities Association has designated the week of Jan. 7-13 as Winter Officials Appreciation Week.

AURORA – The InSideOut Initiative – a non-profit aimed to inspire, catalyze and equip school leaders, ADs and coaches to transform lives through Purpose-Based Sports – will relaunch in Colorado in partnership with the Colorado High School Activities Association, the Denver Broncos and the NFL Foundation on Feb. 5, 2024.

The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) landscape could be changing in 2024, as the association will consider adding girls flag football to its marvelous roster of activities.

The Jan. 2 top-10 rankings for boys basketball, girls basketball and ice hockey.

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association Hall of Fame has announced its 34th Hall of Fame class. This eight-member group embodies the core values of the Association along with its vision of seeking excellence in academics, activities, and athletics. Each of these individuals upholds the very essence of education-based activity participation.

AURORA – With 2023 coming to a close, the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) is looking back at some of the moments that made 2023 so special.

Facing a nationwide officiating crisis in high school sports, CHSAA launched the “You Look Good in Stripes” initiative in November 2022 and then worked tirelessly through 2023 to recruit, train and onboard more than 183 officials across nine different sports this year.

The Colorado High School Activities Association hosted its first-annual Women in Leadership Conference, titled The Many Faces of Leadership.

While the Special Olympics and Paralympics have been a fixture at select Colorado high school state championships for over a decade now, CHSAA was excited to be able to expand those offerings this year with the first-ever athletes competing at the Gymnastics State Championships.
