State track meet postponed to two-day schedule on Saturday and Sunday

The state baseball games scheduled for Friday in 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A have all been postponed.
Saturday’s Class 4A semifinal games have been moved to Shea Stadium in Highlands Ranch.
The storm expected to hit the state later this week could potentially change the schedule to this week’s state baseball tournaments.
The Class 1A baseball championship game has been postponed in order to avoid an impending storm forecast for Thursday.
As the spring sports world eyes the weather, the CHSAA office communicated a contingency plan to schools participating in the state baseball tournaments on Tuesday.
If Monday’s ugly storm was any indication, weather may play a factor in the spring sports championship season. Then again, it usually does.
The state tennis tournaments begin Thursday, and face the possibility of a weather delay. But the plan is to operate as though the tournaments will go on as scheduled.
The CHSAA office has an opening for an assistant commissioner on its staff.
