AURORA — The preseason rankings for fall sports have been released.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — High school athletics participation increased by nearly 200,000 in 2024-25, continuing an upward trajectory since the pandemic and registering an all-time high for participation.

DENVER – The Denver Broncos unveiled its High School Flag and Helmet Wall at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium on Saturday prior to its preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) announced a new partnership with Musco Lighting to enhance the student-athlete and fan experience at member schools. 

The difference between high school sports and all other levels of sport in the United States? Education, without a doubt. And with the focus headed in other directions at the college level the past few years, the NFHS is leading the way to ensure that high school sports remain focused on the EDUCATION in education-based sports and other activity programs.

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association’s Board President Joe Brown and the CHSAA Board of Directors have called a Special Session of the CHSAA Legislative Council for Tuesday, Sept. 16. The meeting will be virtual and will be called to order at 9 a.m. 

AURORA – All fall sports are officially underway today, with the first practices for cross country, field hockey, flag football, gymnastics, boys soccer, softball, spirit, boys tennis, unified bowling and girls volleyball starting. Practices for boys golf and football started last Monday. 

With the start of fall practices beginning this week and next, some parts of Colorado will be experiencing extremely high temperatures and poor air quality. The information below serves as an important reminder regarding the seriousness of heat illness and its effects on student-athletes.

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association has announced the dates and locations of its fall state championships for 2025. Championships will kick off with the Boys Golf State Championships on October 6-7 and will conclude with the Spirit State Championships on December 11-13.
