As if we needed more fireworks in our 2016-17 hoops season, the first week of 2017 provided just that!
It’s freezing outside, but our big-school hoops are in no way cooling off.
As exciting as the action was out-of-state and locally last week this one is shaping up to be just as tremendous with monster early-season matchups.
Rock Canyon and Denver East continued their torrid starts in the early part of the 2016-17 boys basketball season.
An outstanding Week 1 as those familiar names of Colbey Ross, D’Shawn Schwartz, Kyle Lucasiewicz and Jaizec Lottie stood out for their squads and didn’t disappoint.
We again have some heavy favorites in 5A and 4A boys hoops, along with some hungry squads eager to prove they are worthy come March.
The Final 4 in Boulder didn’t disappoint. Players we expected to step up did just that, but we had a few surprises making us wish the season wasn’t over so soon!
Looks like we’re headed for another exciting finish. If a 38-point performance in an exciting overtime game last weekend is any sign of what’s to come the rest of the way: We Simply CAN’T WAIT!
Well hoop fans, it is on now! We had a few No. 2 seeds lose early in Class 4A, but the remainder of the brackets played out well for the 1’s and 3’s.
