WINDSOR – Round one of the Class 4A boys golf state championships wrapped on Monday with Denver North senior Sawyer Klein leading all individuals at 3-under par 72. Both Windsor sophomore Kellen Ball and Falcon senior Reese Knox are within striking distance, though, at just one stroke behind. 

DENVER — There is an old adage in golf that states that you can’t win the state tournament on the first day, but you sure can lose it.

At the end of the first day of the Class 4A state golf tournament last fall, Riverdale Ridge’s Bradley Weinmaster led the entire field. That lead, however, would not last.

Below are lists for the teams and individuals that will be competing at the 2022 CHSAA boys golf championships. The list of participating golfers can be subject to change.

Class 5A Central Regional

Thayer Plewe wasn’t used to the feeling he sensed before the start of his senior season earlier this year. Coming off a Class 3A runner-up finish at state before qualifying for the Junior PGA Championships, Plewe felt both physically and mentally scattered.
