A soccer program at Northfield High School didn’t exist five years ago.

The preseason boys soccer rankings were released on Tuesday for all four classifications. In the first poll of the season, Grandview, Northfield, Jefferson Academy and Crested Butte open the new campaign as No. 1s in their respective classifications.

On Thursday morning, Gatorade announced Grandview’s Ben Beckman as the 2021-22 Gatorade Colorado Boys Soccer Player of the Year.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (March 3, 2022) – Hair adornments, including beads,  may be worn by high school soccer players beginning next fall, provided they are secured in a bun and do not present a safety hazard to the player, teammates or opponents.

It sure has been a good year for head coach Jim Davidson and Broomfield soccer.

There’s a new champion in 3A boys soccer with the Roaring Fork Rams ignoring their 11-seed status and upsetting the three, two and one seeds in that order.
