INDIANAPOLIS, IN (February 6, 2026) — Changes to mouthguard recommendations and penalty corner rules were among three revisions recommended by the NFHS Field Hockey Rules Committee at its January 12-14 in Indianapolis. All recommended changes were subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors and take effect with the 2026 high school field hockey season.

AURORA – The semifinals of the main championship bracket of the Field Hockey State Championships were decided in dramatic fashion Monday night, with both games not only going to overtime, but the nighcap being decided in a shootout, as top-seeded Cherry Creek snuck past No. 5 Regis Jesuit, 2-2 (2-0 in shootout). The Bruins will face No. 3 Kent Denver in the championship finals for a second-straight season.
AURORA – All four championship-bracket quarterfinals, and three of the four consolation-bracket quarterfinals, were played Thursday in the CHSAA Field Hockey State Championship. The remaining consolation bracket game was played Friday.
AURORA – The first round of the CHSAA Field Hockey State Championship was completed Tuesday, as the remaining five first-round games were played. The tournament had opened with three games on Monday, and now all eight quarterfinalists have been determined.
