PUEBLO & FORT COLLINS – Four Colorado High School Activities Association state champions in football were crowned on the first weekend (Nov. 29-30) of the football state championships at Dutch Clark Stadium in Pueblo, while the additional three were played at CSU’s Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The 3A State Championship, an undefeated season and the first title in Thompson Valley school history boiled down to one final play. The Thompson Valley defense versus the Mead offense.
CHICAGO — In its 40th year of honoring the nation’s most elite high school athletes, Gatorade today announced Austyn Modrzewski of Mountain Vista High School is the 2024-25 Gatorade Colorado Football Player of the Year. Modrzewski is the first Gatorade Colorado Football Player of the Year to be chosen from Mountain Vista High School.
The 2024 Colorado High School Activities Association football state championship games for 3A, 4A and 5A will be played on Saturday, Dec. 7 at CSU’s Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
