AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association has announced the state qualifiers for the 2024 Cross Country State Championships.

The Cross Country State Championships will take place at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs on Saturday, Nov. 2.

High school cross country teams around the state of Colorado will compete in regional championships Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24-25 for a chance to qualify for the 2024 Colorado High School Activities Association’s Cross Country State Championships. Each classification will host five regionals with the top four teams and any individuals placing in the top-15 from each region advancing to the state championship.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – MileSplit, a premier nationwide online network for cross country and track and field coverage and registration, has renewed its partnership with the NFHS for an additional three years. Originally signed as a corporate partner in 2021, MileSplit will remain the Official Cross Country and Track and Field Registration Platform of the NFHS.

ARVADA — Conifer pulled off a cross country quadruple-double of sorts Wednesday at the North Area Athletic Complex.

In 2000, Alan Versaw took a job at The Classical Academy to be the school’s head coach for both its boys and girls cross country programs. Versaw quickly turned the Titans into a running powerhouse.

One very large question loomed over Colorado high school cross country on Halloween morning, 2011. After taking a beating over a rigorous course layout and a legendary case of traffic gridlock on East Quincy Avenue leaving the state meet, Smoky Hill High School made it known they would not be putting in a bid for the next two-year cycle of hosting the state meet.
