With Colorado’s second unified bowling state championships set to take place on Friday, it is impressive to look back on how quickly the sport has grown at the high school level in just two seasons as a CHSAA-sanctioned sport.
The unified bowling state championships will take place on Friday, Nov. 19, at AMF Belleview Lanes in Englewood. The 2021 season’s culminating event will be the second of its kind for unified bowling in Colorado.
Last school year, the first ever CHSAA-sanctioned unified bowling state championships was an historic event that set the stage for the sport’s future at the high school level in Colorado.
Among the five sports that Strasburg’s Garrett Gerrard competed in was one that invloved a family tie to a noble cause.

Pueblo East capped an historic day as it was crowned Colorado’s first-ever Unified Bowling state champion.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has approved variances for Season C sports, paving the way for those sports to begin practice over the next week.
