AURORA — CHSAA State Representatives recently selected Wiley’s Grant Mauch and Springfield’s Dakota Reid as the 2025 recipients of the Excellence Beyond Athletics award.

AURORA – The 20-round Major League Baseball Draft has concluded and three of the players selected played for Colorado High School Activities Association member schools while in high school. All three played collegiately out of state at the Division I level.

AURORA — In one of the most meaningful recognitions a Colorado high school athlete can receive, Simon Lunsford of Green Mountain High School was recently named the 2025 CHSCA Freddie Steinmark Award winner. The award, considered the most prestigious honor in Colorado high school athletics, is presented annually by the Colorado High School Coaches Association to a senior who exemplifies excellence in athletics, academics, and community service, an embodiment of the legacy left by Freddie Steinmark himself.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Beginning with the 2027 season, a double first base will be required in high school baseball games to minimize the risk of collisions by runners and fielders.
